earlier india follow indeginous study where no curriculm was there,no fees,no fixed time of admition,teacher taught orally in vernacular language. 
howevr, 
british introduced many liberal ideas through dere english teaching as gradded system ws introduced,people start paying fees,classes were at a fixes time,educational departments were set up ,etc
