The Awadh Peasants felt it was the dawn of Gandhi Raj. They resolved to violent activities like looting bazaars, attacking the landlords etc.
For the Awadh Peasant, Swaraj and Non-Cooperation Movement meant abolition of Begar, Removal of domination of landlords, Secure tenure, etc.
