How was the Civil Rights Movement different from Black Power Movement?

Civil rights movement-In USA (1954-1968),this refers to a set of events and reform movement aimed at abolishing legal racial discrimination against African-Americans and restoring voting rights them whereas ,Black power was movement started by Black people in 1966 in USA against racism and the practice of apartheid and lasted till 1975 . It was a militant movement advocating even violence it necessary to end racism in the US.

The Black Power Movement was an anti-racist movement launched in Africa.

Differences:

1 The Black Power Movement emerged in 1966 and lasted till 1975. Whereas Civil Rights Movement emerged in 1954 and lasted till 1968.

2 The Civil Rights Movement was a non-violent movement. Whereas the Black Power Movement was a militant anti-racist movement, advocating even violence if necessary to end racism in the US.
