how was the cultivation of rice affected due to the enforced cultivation of indigo by company officials ?

Answer:

Farmers of India were forced to grow Indigo by British. Indigo was a commercial crop. Therefore Indian farmers were discouraged to grow rice. Indigo made the soil infertile for the growth of rice.
