How was the environment viewed before the bhopal gas tragedy

I think it was not treated nicely bcoz, if it would be treated properly the gas tragerdy would not occur.... 
It would also be that the people there were irresponsible....

It was a very pleasant and good environment. But due the gas tragedy the soil has become less fertile, the water has become polluted, etc
