The French society was divided into three estates : 1st estate or celergy ,2 nd estate or nobility and the third estate or big business man ,small peasants etc .The members of the first two estates enjoyed the greater rights such as exemption from paying taxes to the state and the nobels also enjoyed feudal privilege s .The unit of currency was livers .Tithe and taille were the two types of taxes which were paid by the members of the third estate

the lower class - common folks

the priests enjoyed the most as they used to extract church taxes from the people and didn't had to give any.

The noble class used to extract taxes from the people who used to live on their land.

The lower class was the least benefited as they had to pay taxes to both the upper and the noble class
