The Indian Constitution was framed by Constituent assembly.It take 2 years 11monthd 18 days to make constitution.The first meeting was held on December 1946.The idea was proposed by M.N. Roy.

Before the partition there were 389 members but due to the partition the strength of Constituent

Assembly reduced to 299 members including women members
