the indian forest act is also know as chipko movement. in typist act people hugs trees to save them from the tree cutters and said if they want to cut tree ,they have to pass through them. so in this way they saved tree. after a few years, there were many acts related to it such as afforestation reforestation vanmohotsav,etc which saved trees and thereby people.
