The parties are more concentrated. While it was the western NATO against the eastern Warsaw Pact, the pub fight has thinned down to USA v. Russia, with a few boot licking mates still hanging around and both bullies not too sure whether they should unite to nudge on China, strutting around the pub without being interested to get a black eye too soon.

Economically, manufacturing more and better weapons without having cleaned up the rubble from the previous muscle flexing is only a strain on each side’s budget and absolutely schizophrenic, considering both nations are flying into space together, working at a joint space station.
