⟹ The difference between the moderates and Radicals were:

1. Moderates had full faith in good intentions of the british government while Radicals had no faith in them.

2. The aims of the Moderates were more reforms and that too within the British empire but the radicals wanted nothing less than swaraj or self government.

3. The Moderates wanted to achieve their aims through constitutional means but the radicals wanted to achieve their aims by force of their own strength.

4. The moderates were seldom sent to jail but the radical leaders were beaten, handcuffed and sent to jail several times.

5. Moderate leaders were Dadabhai Naoroji, Surendra Nath Banerjee, Gopal Krishna Gokhale etc while Radical leaders were Bipin Chandra pal, Tilak and Lala Lajpat Rai.
