After introduction of dual government in Bengal in 1765, EIC got right on revenue collection without any responsibility of social welfare, law and order. In return it has to give just ₹26lakh to Mughal and ₹53lakh to Bengal Nawab. Rest collected money can be used how ever the EIC wants to. By this EIC got more profits from it. Also other mechanisms like free trade pass for British, and use of the same for corruption purposes by their officers, export of Indigo and cotton increases it's revenue.
