Answer:

Vedas are a large body of texts originating in Ancient India. They form the oldest layer of Sanskrit literature and the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism. Some vedic literature are Rig Veda,Atharva,Yajur, and sama vedas. These vedas like Rig Veda speaks of a simple socio-economic ,political set up and religious life.Norms relating to social duties, obligations and rites are included in Dharma -sutras,Grihya-sutras etc.

Rig veda is the oldest of all the vedas. This makes it unique as compared to the other vedas. It is a collection of 1,028 hymns and 10,600 verses, organized into ten books .
