Rigveda is the first veda. It is the oldest book in Sanskrit and Indoor-European languages. It is the largest of all vedas.

Rigveda contained Indian sciences of Yoga, Meditation, Mantra, and Ayurveda.

Vedic literature is divided into two parts namely the Shruti and Smriti it is believed that the Shruthi was revealed to the sages by God and they passed on that knowledge orally from generation to generation on the other hand ,Smriti literature was composed by the Rishis.
