French society before the French Revolution was divided society into three estates:
the First Estate (clergy); the Second Estate (nobility);and
the Third Estate (commoners).
*The third paid all taxes and had no access to pursue education...

Before the French revolution, the society was divided into three states :—

  1. The first estate consist of the clergy.
  2. The second estate consist of the nobles.
  3. The third estate including big businessman, merchants, court officials, lawyers , landless labourers, servants, artisans and peasants.
