He was attracted towards Shehnai at the age of three and with his hard work he brought it on to the classical stage. Pungi a musical instrument was banned by Emperor Aurangzeb for its shrill, unpleasant sound.

The sound produced by shehnai was shrill and unpleasant.

Soo, due it's unpleasant sound it was banned by Bismillah Khan. It is a musical instrument that was also called a pungi.

A barber from professional musicians decided to improve the tonal quality if it. He played the new version of it in royalty and he impressed everyone.

As it was first played in Shah's chamber and was played by a barber, so its new name was - 'Shehnai'.

Characters-

Aurangzeb -  He was the Mughal Emperor. He banned the pungi.

Bismillah Khan - He was the legendary shehnai player. He brought the improved form of pungi in front of the world.

Rasool Bux Khan - He was that grandfather of Bismillah Khan.

Paigambar Bux - He was the father of Bismillah Khan.

Ali Bux - He was the Maternal uncle of Bismillah Khan.
