how was the system of estates in French society organised? give the brief description.

the estates were classified into broadly 3 categories:
•clergy-It consisted of the church members who got feudal rights by birth and exempted from paying taxes.
•nobility-the landlords and aristocrats who enjoyed feudal powers and exempted from paying taxes
•3rd estate-It consisted of the peasants,lawyers, doctors, teachers,big&small businessmen,who had to pay all the taxes.

the French revolution consist of three estate: the clergy, the noblity and the third estate.The first two were given privileges by birth while the third have to work for them.
