The man had never believed in mere utility . Having had no useful work, he indulged in mad whims. He made little pieces of sculptures, men, women and castles and he painted. Thus he wasted his time on all that was useless and needless.
People generally do things which are productive in nature but the man in “worker's paradise” spent his time painting and drawing. His painting had no meaning whatsoever, yet he spent all his time painting. People laughed at him for this but he didn't bother about them. Thus he didn't fit in the scheme of things.
He spends his time standing by a stream or painting some object which has no meaning or purpose. On the other hand, in the world of Workers' Paradise, men are bust at work. They have no time to spare for recreation or painting. To them time is precious and they have too much to do.
