1.Talab/bandhi
Talab are the resorvoir to store water foe for household consumption and drinking purposes. The reservoir with area less than five bighas known as talai,medium sized known as Bandhi and bigger ones as sagar or samand.
2. Tanka
It is traditional technique indegious to Thar desert of Rajasthan. A taanka is a underground paved pit in whoch water from rooftops,courtyards and artificially catchments flow.

Johads,one of the oldest system used to conserve and recharge groundwater. Small check dams that capture and store rainwater.
