plants amonly derive their nutrition from.the soil. int he form of water and minerals . the roots of the palnt take up water and minerals form the soil so as to develop amd grow themselves. if we cut a stem of a plant we can always find it wet which indicates water is passing up. the plants have autotrophich mode of nutrition where it prepares its own food by photosyntheseis in presence of sunlight , co2 , water and minerals.
