You take the mass of each of atom’s isotopes and multiply it by its percent abundance.
For example, if the question was finding the average atomic mass of an unknown atom with 2 isotopes. One isotope has 50% abundance. Another isotope has 50% abundance. The first isotope has a mass of 6. The second isotope has a mass of 4.
Calculations: (6 x .50) + (4 x .50) = 5
