actually it is not an exact value it is just take reference for calculations . actually its a result of measuring length with a rope of circular things and then measure it with scale. this results into errors . due to which a constant value is decided for easy calculations called pie.

whose value is 3.14..........
or simply 22/7

Anonymous: i just now this about pie nothing more
Anonymous: yes it must have a diameter but when u measure it from surface u will not find it true every time as the surface is not straight it is curved
Anonymous: hope u will understand
Anonymous: if u like the answer u should mark it as brainliest
Himani2222: y do we use 3.14 in sums where actual decimal value is 3.142
Anonymous: the actual decimal value is actually a non terminating number upto infinity so just for simplification and approx value we use 3.14.
Anonymous: thank u for marking it as brainliest
Himani2222: ah...finally ur request is granted this is marked as one of the brainlist answers:)
Himani2222: thanks for answering my question:):)

the value of pie is nt exact, but it is considered that pie = 22/7 or 3.14. to do calculations on circular objects little reliablely rather than using scale measuring we use pie .
pie =22/7
      3.14
