How we can know that after pyrolysis any carbon compound will break into which compounds.For example ,C16H34 after pyrolysis breaks into C8H18 and C8 H16...
But how ,is there any specific formula for that????

It happens as all the molecules .have a specific formulae. When broken into different simpler substances it turns back from what it is made up of depending upon the way of reaction which is breaking the molecules or elements.
