If an aqueous solution of salt and acetone are brought to a boil, the acetone will boil off first, followed by the water. After this, solid salt will be left in the boiling flask. This is basically how gasoline is made from crude oil. LP gas boils off first, gasoline next and what is left is coal tar. This process is known as fractional distillation and depends on the boiling point of the chemicals in the mixture. The ones with the lowest boiling points leave the mixture first.
