CONSERVATION OF RESOURCES.

Conserving resources is the need of the hour. On a daily basis, we waste so much of the resources unknowingly that it might lead to scarcity in future.

Let us discuss some ways to conserve our resources :-

(1) Ways to conserve water :-

• Wash full loads of laundry. There is no need to wash clothes daily as on a daily basis we have less clothes available for laundry and washing daily wastes a lot of water. So, wash only when you have a full load of laundry.
• Don't let your faucet running while brushing.
• Practice rainwater harvesting.
• Use sprinklers for watering plants.
• Always keep a check on taps. They should not be leaking and should not be left open unnecessarily.

(2) Ways to conserve electricity :-

• If you can install solar panels in your homes then this is one of the best ways to conserve electricity.
• Never leave lights/fans/other appliances open when they aren't in use.
• Check all the appliances while leaving home.
• Prefer 5-star rating appliances as they consume very less electricity.
• Switch off AC's when the weather is good and cold.
• Use LED's instead of bulbs.

(3) Ways to conserve fuel :-

• Use public transports more often.
• Never leave your engine open for ideal.
• Use a bicycle or have a walk for shorter distances.
• Turn to CNG equipped vehicles.
• Use carpool services.

These were some of the ways to conserve some resources.

Also, practice 4R's which means :-

Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

• Refuse things which encourage pollution like plastic bags.

• Reduce your consumption on a higher scale which leads to wastage. Use resources rationally.

• Reuse things which can be reused. You can reuse paper or jute bags for shopping.

• Recycle things which can be used again after recycling. Paper is a best example for it.
