Answer:

1. Draw a line AB

2. At A keep the compass

3. Open the compass and fix the length

4. Draw an arc and cut AB at C

5. Now put compass at C

6.With the same measurement draw a point D on arc AC and from D point E on the same arc

7. Now keep the tip of compass at E and D respectively and draw a common arc

8. Join their intersection with A

9. Therefore angle A is the required 90°

The given attachment shows you the angle of 90° with a pencil and compass.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 - Draw a line segment OA of any length. By using a compass draw a half-circle from the point 'O' as shown in the figure.

Step 2 - Draw two arcs on the semicircle and point them as 'Q' and 'R' respectively. Q = 60° and R = 120°.

Step 3 - From point 'Q' and from point 'R' draw two arcs that cut each other at point 'S' as shown in the figure.

Step 4 - Draw a line segment from point 'S' to 'O' and mark it as a 90° angle as shown in the figure. Angle AOB is 90°.
