★All nonmetals from covalent oxides on reaction with oxygen , which react with water to form acids are with bases to form salts.

♥Let's perform an experiment to prove that the oxides of nonmetals are acidic in nature♥

MATERIALS REQUIRED:-

a deflagrating spoon, sulphur powder, a beaker with lid, red and blue litmus paper, water pulse and burner and a dropper.
now come to the
PROCEDURE:-
===============
Takes some sulphur powder and heat it in deflagrating spoon over a Bunsen burner.
The sulphur in the spoon will melt and then begin to burn giving out a gas but chocking smell.
Introduce the spoon into glass speaker .
cover this beaker with a lid .make sure that the gas does not escape from the beaker.
Now remove this spoon and quickly add a small amount of water in the beaker. shake the beaker to dissolve the gas .Now introduce a strip of red and a blue litmus papers into the beaker and observe any change in their colours.
