Liberty and equality were defied to women. This can be proved from the incidents of the Liberal Revolution of 1848. In 1848, National Assembly in France granted suffrage to all males above 21 years but women were not given the right to vote. Liberty implies universal suffrage but women were defied of it. Similarly when Frankfurt Parliament was convened in 1848, women were allowed to be there in the visitors gallery as watchers but were not allowed to participate in the meeting. Thus they were not equally treated as men. Thus they were defied of equality.
