Hi friend,

The National Assembly was indirectly elected by the people. The citizens voted for a group of electors, who in turn chose the assembly. The right to vote was given only to only men above 25 years who paid taxes equal to three days of a labourer's wage.To become an elector and finally a member of the assembly,a man must belong to the category of highest tax payers.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU:-))
