Hey... here is your answer
You may also call this system as Apartheid

Apartheid  was a system of institutionalised racial segregation and discrimination in South Africa between 1948 and 1991. Broadly speaking, apartheid was delineated into petty apartheid, which entailed the segregation of public facilities and social events, and grand apartheid, which dictated housing and employment opportunities by race. Prior to the 1940s, some aspects of apartheid had already emerged in the form of minority rule by white South Africans and the socially enforced separation of black South Africans from other races, which later extended to pass laws and land apportionment. Apartheid as a policy was embraced by the South African government shortly after the ascension of the National Party (NP) during the country's 1948 general elections.

Hope this would help you.

Hi Pooja!!

So coming to your question, The non-whites of South Africa have faced a lot of discrimination due to the system of Aparthied that existed in South Africa..
Blacks were denied entry to white churches and buildings, they couldn't marry or mingle with the whites, couldn't wear the clothes worn by the whites and many such unfair practices prevailed..
, blacks were presented 17 percent fewer homes and Asians 15 percent fewer homes, but Hispanics were given the opportunity to see roughly the same number of homes as whites.....
A very offensive term-'Negro' was used for the black Americans..The apartheid system in South Africa was ended through a series of negotiations between 1990 and 1993 and through unilateral steps by the de Klerk government. ...Nelson Mandela was also one of the renowned figures during this struggle...

Hope that clears your doubt friend!!
