1) introduction of greased cartridges which were made of the fat of cow and pig. The cow is considered as holy animal for Hindus and pig is treated as bad in Islam and the soldiers were forced to open them with their mouth. thus this hurted the religioua sentiments of Indian soldiers.
2) the soldiers were forced to cross the ocean and in that times people belived that if they cross the ocean then they will not get moksh after death.
