Answer:

India was a very prosperous country. When the Britishers came in India, they started their Company and ordered India's craftsmen to stop their work and work in industries and grow indigo and do whatever the Bitishers told them. So day by day, India's famous and precious works of farming, clothes and other things stopped. Indians had to work in industries and so, lost its impression of its personal and beautiful work. India was made a country which provided raw materials to the British and the peasants condition was too bad and they were changed to be debtors. Slowly Britishers took control over India and took all it's importance. They used the motto of divide and rule and divided and ruined everything. This way India was in the hands of British people and became poor. They also used many policies to take control over all the works from making clothes to the rights of the people. They forced the people to do what they want and used their policy of annexation and put treaties to get everything under their control.By this India became a servant of them and became poor
