The PAIKS were managed through some higher officers. Simalarly the temples and the brahmins were also offered free land and PAIKS TO WORK FOR THEM. These lands were called DEVOTTAR and BRAHMATTOR land and no tax was realised from such lands. During AHOM rule, the use of coins was very limited.
