Tribal people from the central India and the north east differ essentially due to difference in their ethnic stock as well as the linguistic groups they belong to.
While the north east stock in largely Mongoloid and Tibeto-burman and partly Proto-Australoid, the central Indian tribes are of largely Proto-austroloid and Negrito among others.
