During the very last years of the freedom struggle in India we see that the peasants and the workers were mobilised. Due to low wages that were received by the workers they were very angry.
During the year 1946, the Indian navy went on a hunger strike to protest against the bad behaviour and the bad food they were receiving.
There were a number of strikes and stoppages in many of the factories and mills throughout the country which were initiated by CPI(m).
