Explanation:
When a dolphin or whale dies, the air in its body may disappear or even be replaced by water, causing it to sink. A few species of whale and dolphin (including the right whale and the sperm whale) appear to be positively buoyant even when dead, which causes them to float

Answer:
As they have gills in their body to breathe air in and to breathe out the air .
So ,when they have to sink them in water they usually fill up that whole (gills ) with water and so that they can easily sink in water ..
When they have to float they release that water put for ease to float ..
Thank s for asking such a question ////
