Hey friend,
here's you answer,
India experiences moonsoon for 4 months i..e, from June to September . This is due to the presence of moonsoon winds which are mainly confined to the tropics and even because of the presence of Himalayas which forces the moisture laden moonsoon winds to shed rain in Indian subcontinent.
hope it helps you....!!

Monsoon in India generally occur due to the influence of trade winds that blows from equator to the northern part of the world, and India lies in its path.Due to the corriolis force it gets divided into two branch. One is the Arabian branch that causes rainfall in Karnataka and southern west part of India and the other one is Bay of Bengal branch which causes rainfall in many regions of India. And During winter season Tamil Nadu recieves rainfall by the Bay of Bengal branch.
