Benefits of reproduction through spores:
1. As spores are covered by a hard protective coat which enables them to remain viable under unfavourable conditions.
2. As there will be no variation, the offspring will be very similar to the parent.
3. Spores are produced in numerous quantity, which ensures that at least few survive and can grow and perpetuate. Hence, a stable population is maintained.
