How will design real life based learning in classroom for teaching learning of EVS

EVS is one of the important subjects to be studied at the primary level of schooling in order to inculcate the importance of environment and natural resources in the children at a young age.

Teaching any subject practically will give an easy and a better understanding of the subject.

A few ways to teach environmental sciences practically in a classroom are -

1. Experiments to grow plants from vegetable or fruit remains or seeds in small pots.

2. Small experiments to demonstrate how sound and light travel through different mediums.

3. Stress on the importance of recycling and help the children in creating useful objects or items by recycling the wastes.

4. Using picture cut-outs, charts, AV clips, 3D-models, etc.
