TAKE A POLE OF THE MAGNET AND HOLD IT IN FRONT OF NORTH POLE OF BAR MAGNET. IF THE NORTH POLE ATTRACTS THE POLE OF OTHER MAGNET, THEN THAT POLE IS SOUTH POLE. IF THE NORTH POLE OF BAR MAGNET REPELS THEN THAT POLE IS NORTH POLE.

Take the poles of the magnet and hold it in front of north pole of bar magnet .If the north pole attracts the pole of other magnets ,then that pole is south pole . If the north pole of bar magnet repels then that pole is north pole
