Potassium Nitrate reacts in the Presence of Ozone to Give Potassium nitrite as the Main product and Oxygen Gas as a side product. Potassium Nitrate itself a Strong Oxidizing Agent. So it will give Potassium Nitrite, or we can say reduced Nitrate. Ozone usually reacts with nitrite to give Nitrate which is less toxic as compared to nitrites.
