First of all, Pressure = Force/ Area..
Pressure is directly proportional to Force and inversely proportional to Area
1) Force is halved.
Here Force is halved, Area is constant. So Pressure also gets halved.
2) Area is made one fourth
Here Area is decreased. So absolutely Pressure should increase. So P 1= F / A at initial. now P2 = F/A/4 =4 F/A=4 P1
So final pressure is four times.
Hence pressure becomes four times
