refractive index of light travels from rarer medium to denser as light bends towards the normal

jaydeep45: light doesn't have a refractive index
parmithareddy: light travels in have the refractive index
jaydeep45: What?????
parmithareddy: light travels from one medium to another medium
parmithareddy: is it correct
jaydeep45: my question is " what will happen to the focal length of the convex lens when the lens is placed inside water?"
jaydeep45: No...I think u didn't got my question right
parmithareddy: u didn't gave focal length in the question
jaydeep45: focal length of a convex lens depends on the refractive index.Either ways, increase in the refractive index means decrease in the focal length and vice versa
parmithareddy: ok
