the strength of magnetic field will decrease as we move from straight conductor bcoz field is inversely proportional to distance

The magnetic field or strength produced by a given current in the conductor decreases as the distance from it increases. We can justify this using a compass needle. When the compass is placed near too the conductor, the deflection increases.
Whereas when the compass needle is moved further away from the conductor, the deflection decreases.
This proves the above statement.
