Ethyl chloride reacts with AgNO3 and white precipitate of AgCl is found. However, chlorobenzene doesn't react due to resonance C-Cl bond of chlorobenzene becomes partially double bond but there is no resonance in ethyl chloride.

horizonite097: i have never asked for the Ethyl chloride
alismanggalisp8v52b: Oh I'm so sorry dear. I've answered for two similar question that's why wrong post the answer. Actually the difference is Chlorobenzene on nitration gives 1-chloro-4-nitrobenze however cyclohexylchloride doesn’t give this test
horizonite097: it's okay i got the answer
alismanggalisp8v52b: Okay. All the best to you
horizonite097: thanks
