If we talk about our daily life then I can say that most of the people are like cricket coz it doesn't care about its future and only care about its present whatever it had it uses it and never thought of saving anything for future just using it as per its needs. We should be like the ants coz not only in this story even in reality they are very hardworking, whatever they have , they have owned it by their own and also in this poem also they collect their food eat some and rest of it they save it for future.
