if the salt contains water of crystallization then the salt is hydrated
Example: Copper sulphate pentahydrate (CuSO4.5H2O)
if the salt does not contains water of crystallization then the salt is anhydrous.
Example: Heating of Copper sulphate pentahydrate (CuSO4.5H2O) produce anhydrous copper sulphate(CuSO4)
