How will we distinguish between sodium sulphate solution and sodium nitrate solution using barium chloride solution

You’ll get a white precipitate of barium sulphate when the two solutions are mixed - aqueous barium chloride is a standard test for the presence of sulphate ions in solution, as BaSO4 is insoluble in water. Essentially it’s a double displacement reaction:

BaCl2 (aq) + Na2SO4 (aq) → BaSO4 (s) + 2NaCl (aq)

While sodium nitrate solution does not react with silver nitrate. 2)Whenbarium chloride is added to the sodium sulphate solution ,a precipitate is formed which is insoluble in all mineral acids. While sodium chloridedoes not react with barium chloride.
