Answer:

x=3625

HERE'S HOW YOU SOLVE IT:

35.5=35x+37(100-x)/100

We move all terms to the left:

35.5-(35x+37(100-x)/100)=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-(35x+37(-1x+100)/100)+35.5=0

We multiply all the terms by the denominator

-(35x+37(-1x+100)+(35.5)*100)=0

We calculate terms in parentheses: -(35x+37(-1x+100)+(35.5)*100), so:

35x+37(-1x+100)+(35.5)*100

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

35x+37(-1x+100)+3550

We multiply parentheses

35x-37x+3700+3550

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-2x+7250

Back to the equation:

-(-2x+7250)

We get rid of parentheses

2x-7250=0

We move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right

2x=7250

x=7250/2

x=3625
