Answer:

use this moeller diagram to write electronic configuration of any element

rember these points

sorbital- have 2 elelectrons so you will write 1s2 , 2s2,3s2 etc...

p orbital- has 6 electrons so you will write 2p6 , 3p6 , 4p6 etc..

d orbital- has 10 electrons so you will write 4d10, 5d10 so on..

by using moeller diagram you can write electronic configuration of any element like this 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 4p6 so on

* the atomic number will be considered as number of protons but here number of protons=no of electrons*

since atomic number is no of electrons you can easily write the configuration

see this example:

Ne: its atomic number is 10 so 10 electrons

so configuration is

1s2 2s2 2p6

1s orbitial has- 2 electrons

2s orbital has - 2 electrons

2p orbital has- 6 electrons

so 2+2+6=10

similarly tge configuration of Oxgen(atomic number-8) is

1s2 2s2 2p4

so you can find electronic configuration in this way for any element

hope this helps:)

2+2+4=8
