Here take the Benzaldehyde which will be the benzene ring with the attached CHO then take it through the process of oxidisation that will be an HNO3 presence. It will give out the benzene ring with COOH.

Then, take it through SOCl2 to get benzene ring with COCl2.

Then it will react in the Friedel-Craft acylation or Anhyd. AlCl3 to obtain Benzophenone.
